Sarracenia 'Sky Watcher' purpurea Hoogenstrijd of Araflora in AmsterdamSarracenia 'Sky Watcher' is a selected clone believed to originate from the complex hybrid Sarracenia umlauftiana. Its parentage combines S. courtii and S. wrigleyana, and is therefore a mix of Sarracenia purpurea, psittacina, and leucophylla species. This cultivar grows in a rosette form, staying lower to the ground than many other pitcher plants. A mature plant reaches about a foot tall. Its growth is notably wide, giving it a substantial presence.
